SANDY Technology Invited to Participate in AMIMT 2023 International Conference on Advanced Materials and Forming Intelligent Manufacturing Technology

On September 8-9, 2023, the 2023 International Conference on Advanced Materials and Forming Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (AMIMT), which is guided by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, recommended by the Department of Science and Technology of Heilongjiang Province, and co-sponsored by Harbin Engineering University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and the Chinese Society of Composites, was held at the Bajiao Bay International Conference Center in Yantai. Focusing on the development and application of metal materials, non-metallic materials, composite materials, additive manufacturing, connection molding, digital manufacturing and processing, the conference invited more than 200 units at home and abroad, totaling more than 400 renowned experts and scholars, to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on the research frontier and hot spots in the field of advanced materials and intelligent manufacturing technology, industry transformation and upgrading, and other topics.

Dr. Zong Guisheng, Chairman of Beijing SANDI Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the conference and made a keynote report entitled "3D Printing Technology Progress and Industrialization" in the main forum of academic reports. In the report, Dr. Zong Guisheng gave a general overview and overview of the technology and application of additive manufacturing, through the analysis of the global and Chinese 3D printing market scale, industrial structure and the pattern of China's machinery manufacturing industry, he pointed out that, with the development of 3D printing technology, especially the emergence of the 2.0 technology, which not only makes the large-scale application of 3D printing possible, but also accelerates the pace of composite manufacturing such as additive and subtractive, additive forging and subtractive and digitalization. 3D printing additive manufacturing equipment and service provider three emperor technology, in the years of 3D printing 1.0 equipment and application of the basis of independent mastery of 3D printing 2.0 core equipment, materials and process technology, through the 3DP industrial casting solutions to help the foundry industry transformation and upgrading of industry, through the BJM metal and ceramic manufacturing to meet the competitiveness of the injection molding industry to enhance the urgent needs, has formed the 3D printing technology development, especially the emergence of 2.0 technology. Dr. Hao Zhao, Deputy General Manager of Product Marketing of Beijing SANDI Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to be the moderator of the Additive Manufacturing session and shared a report entitled "Progress, Challenges and Opportunities in the Industrialization of Binder Jet Additive Manufacturing". In the report, Dr. Zhao Hao analyzed and elaborated on the core technological advantages of BJ metal/ceramic. He believed that BJ technology not only has the general advantages that additive manufacturing technologies such as free design, flexible manufacturing and moldless molding have, but also has the advantages in terms of efficiency and cost compared with other metal additive manufacturing processes. In the case of centralized sintering of multiple groups of products, the advantages of intensive production can be realized, reducing energy consumption, carbon emissions and environmental pollution. In addition, BJ technology follows the material system and sintering process of the traditional powder metallurgy industry, with a high degree of material standardization, which enables high-efficiency, high-quality and low-cost 3D printing. He then shared SANDI Technology's progress in BJ equipment R&D, binder formulation process design, degreasing and sintering process development, and application development. At present, SANDI Technology has completed the development of Longyuan molding R&D type R series, production type P series and other equipment, and more than ten sets of equipment have been installed and used; completed the development of systematic material process for iron-based materials, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, refractory metals, ceramic materials, inorganic salts, polymer materials, food materials, etc.; and at the same time, promote the CAE simulation and prediction solutions to cope with the multi-species, small batch agile manufacturing needs.
